Housing Assistance

Housing Assistance is comprised of two programs that are managed by local housing authorities within Los Angeles County. You may be given preferences for these programs in the housing authority where you live or work, however you may contact any housing authority to inquire about waiting lists or learn more about the programs.

Section 8
The Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance to low-income families in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County and in 61 participating cities within the County.

Other Housing Authorities

Public Housing
The Public Housing Program provides eligible families with affordable housing units owned and managed by the Housing Authority that are located on 70 sites throughout the County.
